In a game of Mike vs Mike, it was clear who came out on top. Mike Ford of the Worm team led his squad with an impressive 29 points, including three 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Mike “Worm” Benjamin struggled, failing to score a single point from the field. Worm, Boccio “The Grindless”, Joe, and Pauly P all had at least 80 Suck. Mike Boccio was left wondering if playing in Grinders was really a good idea, scoring the uncoveted “Poor Performer of the Week”. Again. This team continues to be historically terrible, with only Ford and Pauly P consistently getting any positive GAPE from night to night. Their best chance may be to win an opening tip, score a miracle layup, and pray to the heavens for a power outage.

Led by Mike Gersitz”s four steals and usual effient performance, the Crazy team dominated the court. Richie Creamer and Mark Doyle also had strong showings, each scoring 15+ points and pulling down 6+ rebounds. Even Cory “Captain Airball” Muldowney shot 55.6% from the field. As a team, Crazy’s guys shot a blistering 49.2%. Come on Team Worm – PLAY SOME DEFENSE AT LEAST.  Mike Gersitz took advantage of the opportunity to manage his load – playing about three minutes total.

In the end, the Worm team”s lackluster shooting and ball control, evidenced by their 10 turnovers and general suck, simply couldn’t compete with the Crazy team’s all-around performance. As they say, sometimes the early bird gets the worm, but in this case, the Crazy team came on the worm and ran off with a victory with a final score of 64-41. They didn’t even say goodbye…
