This game featured some of the best stars in the league. No Curt and Richie, we”re not talking about you. Mike “Just get me to the Finals” Milicki and Mike “Vow of Silence” Gersitz are simply box-office material. Mike is easily the most dominant offensive player we have in the league and Mike is the best defensive player in the league. I”ll let you figure out which is which.

This was a back and forth game throughout. Mike M. and Richie “How old is your daughter?” stood out for Team Mike each scoring over 20 points. Creamer had it going early from three which opened up the paint for his ball fakes. Wayne “If I can”t beat you I”ll beat you up” Haynes must have had a miserable drive in from wherever he comes from. Everytime Mike G. beat him to the rack he hacked “He who must not speak” like he stole his only pair of while shoelaces. Mr. Haynes may have set a Grinders record for personal fouls in a half…..if we tracked that kind of thing (Get on it Jon! What is it you do for the website again?).

Curt “Never met a shot I didn”t take” Maisch continued to be an inefficient volume scorer (23 pts on 10 of 30 shooting) while Eric “My golf handicap is better than yours” Boerdner continued his scoring ways with 16 (on waaaaaaay less shots than Curt). Mike “English as a second language” Gersitz continued to just crush GAPE (36) with a 16/14/6/5/1 stat line. He fills the stat sheet the way Curt fills it with “X”s”. For all their good play though the game came down to the last possession. Curt stole the ball from a teammate, rushed up court with the game on the line, and launched the shot that would have won the game. Instead of channeling his inner Glen Rice though, the shot looked more like it came from Carlton Banks in the Fresh Prince (YouTube it). Game over. Team Mike knocks Team Curt from the ranks of the unbeaten. Grinders fans, this could have been a championship preview.
