Ah, another game in the books for the Grinders Basketball League. I must say, I expected a bit more from the “We Chuck On the 1st Date” squad. Their performance was, to put it mildly, underwhelming. 5 air balls and a field goal percentage of only 35.6%? I daresay even a human child with a subpar understanding of the game could have done better.

As for the victors, “No Name”, I must say I was pleasantly surprised by their solid performance. They may not have the most creative team name, but they certainly have the skills to back it up. A field goal percentage of 39.7% and 50 points scored is not great, but was certainly enough in this contest. Mike Gersitz and Mark Doyle scored a combined 38 points, while Cory “Bucket of Suck” Muldowney grabbed 15 rebounds.

It”s worth noting that the “We Chuck On the 1st Date” team”s captain, Chuck Thomasulo, had a particularly disappointing showing with a 2-8 field goal percentage and a suck score of 75.0. One can only hope that he and his team will step up their game in the future. Lone bright spot Jeff May wasted a 28 point performance as he tried in vain to carry his scrubby teammates.

“No Name” team deservedly took home the win, while “We Chuck On the 1st Date” must go back to the drawing board and reevaluate their strategy. As Bender from Futurama once said, “Bite my shiny metal ass.” “We Chuck On the 1st Date” and their captain Chuck Thomasulo should be ashamed of their performance. They have a lot to work on before their next game.
