The only game that wasn”t a blowout. This was expected to be a tightly contested game. I expected more scoring but the defenses took over early, making high quality shots hard to come by. Each team had its mini-runs throughout each half. Team Tommy had the best and last run of the game providing them with a point buffer they would not lose.

Mike “Vow of Silence” G. had another very efficient game (14 and 11 on 58% shooting). Wayne “Army of One” Haynes led the team in scoring with 19. Pauly J. and Timmy also scored in double figures to help the balancing act.

Eric “Lil” Cuz” Carlson shook off the honeymoon rust to pace Team Witt with 21 points and shooting over 50%, while hitting 5 3”s. Witt looked like his dominant offensive self early on. Witt destroyed Team Tommy”s man to man defense. They had no choice but to double. That proved to be the right call as neither Cole (5 of 14) or Newberry (2 of 4) could make them pay for it consistently.

Over-reaction Thursday outlook: both teams finish middle of the pack.
