This game was more Greco-Roman wrestling meets WWE than basketball. There was some pushing and shoving, There was some bitching and whining. There was some trash-talking. Clean it up boys. This league ain”t about that ish.
Team Tommy had a very rough shooting night. Tommy was 7 for 39. Pauly J was 1 of 8 and Lil” Josh was 2 of 6. Mike G. shot a good percentage but only took 11 shots and scored 10 points. I”m not sure what the game plan was or what the defense was presenting, but Mike G. seemed less aggressive in game 2 and Tommy seemed to be falling back into “Hero Mode”. 34 points?!?!?!!? Ouch.
Team Witt was paced by Witt, who again had a great offensive game. He scored 24 points on almost 50% shooting. He also stepped up to play D on Tommy in the second half. Witt? D? What is going on in the world? The rest of the team shot 9 for 28 combined. This felt like Pistons-Spurs from years ago. Put the ball in the hoop boys. Shout out to Zach Newberry who looked to be giving Mike G fits.
