In a highly anticipated match-up between “We Chuck On The 1st Date” and “Kellen and The Jets”, the latter emerged victorious with a 63-55 victory. Despite a close battle, “Kellen and The Jets” were able to edge out their opponents thanks to a well-rounded performance from their players.

Leading the way for “Kellen and The Jets” was Tommy Hughes with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Captain Kellen Owen chipped in with 11 points. Large man Josh Lanzot’s double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds helped keep the opponents in check. Zach Newberry also put in 10 points, rounding out a well-balanced team effort.

“We Chuck On The 1st Date” put up a fight, led by team captain Chuck Thomasulo who had 8 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. He was backed up by Mike “Oh hey, I remembered how to play basketball” Malicki with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Jeff May couldn’t reproduce the magic from the previous week. Peyton provided a half dozen assists, and Salvati provided a solid effort off the bench. Despite their efforts, “We Chuck On The 1st Date” were unable to overcome “Kellen and The Jets” and suffered a loss in the game.

“Kellen and The Jets” showed their dominance in this match-up and proved why they are one of the top teams in the league. As my Uncle Bishop once said, “I’m an efficiency unit. I was built to be that way.” This statement applies well to “Kellen and The Jets”, who showed their efficiency and cohesiveness in their game, leading them to a well-deserved victory.
