“No Grant, no chance!” Welllllllllllllll. That aged well*. This was a pretty tight game throughout with Blue leading by a small amount most of the game. Mark Doyle starred for Blue Balls scoring 22 points and regularly destroying league leprechaun Richie Creamer. At one point the entire league feared for Richie”s safety as he got hit with the Tim Hardaway “killer crossover”. We thought his ankles were broken AND his heart got stopped. It was that bad. Richie is a “gamer” in his own words. He pretty much carried and hapless Tropics team on offense scoring 24 points (led the game) and leading the game in GAPE.

Where there”s a bright spot, there”s also a low spot. For league MVP of season”s past Mike Malicki, this was that low spot. 3/23 from the field, 3 TO”s and a GAPE of 2.0. DAMN. That ladies and gentlemen is what we call the Ford effect. The “Mike stopper” came to play, constantly harassing Mike”s shots, denying his drives, pounding him off of the block. It was a masterful defensive effort and game plan.
