Recap

This game could have had a ton more juice had Mike “My back. My neck and my back” Milicki been available. Mike owns the single game record for points in a game (47) which doubles as the playoff/championship record as well. That mark has stood since the very first Grinders championship game played at the EBC……UNTIL NOW!!!!!

We Chuck took an early lead and seemed destined to win. Jeff May (28 pts) was in “Superman” May form, hitting jumper after jumper, setting the nets on fire. Everyone on Bang Bang tried to stop him but no one had success. Curt was getting facials like he was part of the Eskimo Bros. Peyton “The Last Scoreboard Breaker” Urbaniak was being his usual effective self (14/14/5) and giving energy everywhere. Mike “I don”t lose” Salvati was being his pesky, annoying self, causing havoc on both ends (8/9/5/2). Captain Chuck was chucking (not making), but playing solid defense.

Bang Bang was bludgeoning the backboards as usual (2 of 17), Nixon, as usual, had no idea how to score (0 of 3) but did Toddie F”n Nixon things (6/3/4). Ford subbed for Vaillancourt but never punched the clock to “Go to work” scoring 4 points and nabbing 13 rebounds. Even Curtis AD (insert foreign last name here) was shooting like he was blindfolded, starting like 2 of 12.

Then folks, something magical happened. Something that we may never see in Grinders again. Curtis went on a scoring run that was dare I say, Mamba-esque. It was Curt left. I was Curt right. It was Curt in close. It was Curt for 3. Wide open? BANG! Hand in his face? BANG! This mother f”er WENT OFF!!! In all, Curt scored FIFTY-TWO…….FIFTY-TWO points. This was our version of MJ”s double nickel at the MSG; our version of Kobe”s 81 in the Great White North. He single-handedly willed his crappy team to victory (the only one Ford has this year by the way). He and Jeff May went on a mano-a-mano dual down the stretch for the ages. One I am very happy I got to witness. Curt scored 52 of his team”s 61 points (85.2%). He had 10 of his team”s 37 rebounds (do the easy math you lazy f”s). He took 41 of his team”s 67 shots (had to….no one else was doin” ish). This was literally the greatest single game scoring performance we have ever seen…………as Curt could only do, in the regular season, where it doesn”t really f”n matter.

P.S. If anyone knows a glass guy, please call them. Tirado has to replace and pay for the damage he caused 2 weeks ago.
