Recap
Honestly was this game a joke???? Who made this schedule? Was it close on the score board? Yes (Maybe). Was it close in real LIFE? Absolutely not!
Bang Bang was left, last minute, shorthanded due to Curtis “Black Hole” Masich’s disappearance from the league. Word was he was getting counseling for his PTSD suffered in a brutal collision last session. A lot was put onto Jonny T’s plate for BANG bang to come out with a win, and for all things considered he showed up and balled out. Getting juiced from the crowd to take more 3pts he was chucking them up left and right, but still maintained a solid overall game with a nice slash line of 15/8/3/6, that shit aint bad at all. Todd “The Bod” Nixon shot horrendous capping a 2-11 night and raising his suck score to 78.6%. Josh “Mooch” Morcelle kept it clean from the field shooting 50% and chipping in a team high 2 blocks. But the man of the hour was Matt “The Train” Vaillancourt, guy straight up was unstoppable the whole night. Putting up a 12/27 shooting line to pace Bang Bang with 24 pts. Driving to the hole or taking the elbow jumper, everything was falling. Maybe Bang Bang figured something out tonight without Old Curty in the lineup? Maybe they had another weapon the whole time? We shall see…
For Crazy Al’s No name team of grinders, it was more of the same. Even scoring, sound defense and cruising into the BYE week. It kind of felt like No Names were playing a bye week open run in this game as it got out of hand quickly. Mike “The Matrix” Gersitz attempted a dunk (would that have been the first one?) but missed!! Didn’t matter he still stayed efficient shooting 54% from the field with 7 rebounds. Al and Cory sucked up the suck score but still managed to pound the boards with 18 rebounds combined. O’Doyle Rules dropped a double double just because it was the week of St Pattys day. Top story for No name was Rickie “Cream of the Crop” Creamer pulled an 8 mile and said suck it to the haters. Dropped a 4-slash bomb going for 22/7/5/2, proving to the hecklers that he and his squad are ready for the grind to the chip. This game turned out to be easy as No Names took the W and locked up the 2nd bye week, fair and square.
