Recap
Another chance for Blue Balls to show up and show out to support the “Captain of GAPEness” Mike Ford. Much like the Titanic this ship is already sinking. Ford finally got off the floor and made A (1) bucket. Nixon made 3 and Tirado 2 giving the three of them a COMBINED 17 points for the doubleheader……YIKES. A tired Decz could not keep Blue afloat as his efficiency in the first game dipped bigtime in the second shooting only 38% but posting a 20-18 statline. Mark “O’Doyle Rules” continued his high-effort from the first game hustling and playing “d” but struggled again shooting 25% from the floor.
Team Hughes seemed to control the pace from start to finish, getting up and down the floor and getting whatever shots they seemed to want. This team, based on talent, could be the favorite (see Mike Malicki). They had balanced scoring (Witt 16, May 17, Hughes 14, Pauly J. 8), multiple ball handlers, and could be the deepest, most athletic team in the league. Two questions for Team Hughes: Can they share the ball all season long and are they big enough to rebound against the rest of the league’s MON-STARS?
