Recap
We finally got a hyped up game that was actually worth watching. Stars shining everywhere as future Grinders HOF”s littered the court. To be honest I was surprised by the final score. I thought with all the talent that we might see more of a shootout. The lack of scoring didn”t take away from the quality of the game though. Team Tommy held a slight lead throughout while Team Mike continued to chip away. One team”s run was matched by the other. Team Tommy had some nice contributions from everyone. Witt and May led the way with 16 pts each and Pauly J hit double figures with 10. Mike continued his struggles from in close missing layup after layup but still netting 26 pts. Wayne “Crossfit for Life” Haynes had a fairly efficient game with 17 and 10, resulting in quite a nice GAPE (24). I”d talk about Richie”s performance but Team Mike would have been better off without him and his NEGATIVE 3 GAPE. Ouch. His lackluster game could be the biggest reason Team Mike didn”t come away with the W. For all the missed layups Team Mike still had a shot to tie the game and send it to OT. They called a brilliant play. Mike got open at the top of the key and let a 3 fly. The sidelines were already counting the bucket until that dreaded sound…..CLANK. Ballgame over. It was at that moment where Tommy Hughes finally contributed to the game making an uncontested layup at the other end right before the buzzer. Well done stat sloot.
